Paskowitz Foundation wants you to know about these important local Earth Day events that welcome your participation and support.


Earth Day Native Planting Project (Dana Point)
Saturday, April 20, 2019 9:00 am - Noon

Bring your favorite shovel, work/gardening gloves, drinking water, a hat, and sunscreen. Please identify yourselves as volunteers at the kiosk as you enter the park to receive a complimentary parking pass to display in the window of your vehicle.
LOCATION: Doheny State Beach Campfire Center
PARKING: Lot just before the bridge over San Juan Creek. Walk over the bridge’s sidewalk and enter the open gate of the Campfire Center.


Earth Day at the Ocean Institute
April (2019 date TBA) 10:00am - 3:00pm

Visit Ocean Institute on Earth Day weekend, April 21 and 22, to learn why insects are essential to keeping our oceans and beaches healthy. Join us for a comparative anatomy lab of shrimp and grasshoppers, make your own bug box, discover why bees are key, and more. In addition, visitors can participate in a special workshop where they will create their own plastic-free Butterfly Feeder to take home. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. There's also a Beach Clean-Up which begins at 10 am in front of the Ocean Institute Visitor Services building.

Bolsa Chica's Earth Day Festival (Huntington Beach)
Saturday, April 13, 2019 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Join the Bolsa Chica Conservancy for some free family fun, as we celebrate our annual Earth Day Festival! The festival will include educational activity booths, tours, food, a bounce house and more! Don' t miss out on the eco-friendly fun! Sponsored by the Bolsa Chica Conservancy and the Amigos de Bolsa Chica.

Dirty Heads April Huntington Beach Monthly Cleanup
April (2019 date TBA) 10 am - 12 pm

OC Coastkeeper is partnering up with local band Dirty Heads to host an Earth Day Beach Cleanup on Sunday April 22nd. Join us for a morning of giving back and supporting this native Huntington Beach group! Volunteers will have the opportunity to win prizes and giveaways from local partners. Stay tuned for exciting announcements about partners and give aways! Parking is FREE, just mention you are there for the "beach cleanup" and do your best to arrive before 9:30 to ensure you will not be charged.

Renewable Energy Festival

Celebrate Earth Day in a fun event filled with solar living information, music, educational adventures, a digital experience, and prizes - even take a selfie with the Earth! Power to the Planet, SunStreet's first-ever Earth Day event, will be at the OC Great Park in Irvine during their Sunday Farmers Market event.

Earth Day at Crystal Cove State Park
Saturday, April (2019 date TBA) 9am-12pm

Help celebrate Earth Day at Crystal Cove State Park on Saturday, April 21 from 9am-12pm. Projects include: planting, weeding, mulching, and watering in the Historic District, painting curbs and gates, waxing lifeguard towers, installing symbolic fencing, removing old signage, and cleaning the 3.5 miles of beach. Earth Day is always a great opportunity for park lovers to get their hands dirty and see the immediate fruits of their labor.
LOCATION: Meet at the Los Trancos parking lot near the trailer, (PCH inland at the stoplight Los Trancos.)

Earth Day at the Bay
Sunday, April (2019 date TBA) 10 am – 3 pm

Newport Bay Conservancy, in partnership with OC Parks, present the 28th Annual Earth Day at the Bay. Earth Day is a time when we can all reflect on the importance of our natural surroundings and how we can preserve and protect them. This Earth Day event features booths with family friendly activities including arts and craft, science discovery, and educational infomation. There will be a scavenger hunt with small prizes for all participants and entry in larger prize drawings. The day will be filled with live music. Free parking/admission, but bring some cash for food trucks, gift shop, rain barrel distribution and opportunity drawing.

Earth Day San Clemente
April (2019 date TBA) 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Join the City of San Clemente Environmental Division and the Watershed Task Force as they organize a day of educational information about how everyone can make a difference in reducing litter, and pollutants which end up in our streets, storm drains, and eventually our beaches, and ocean! This free community event features live music, kid’s arts and crafts, educational displays, demonstrations and artists. The day begins with a beach clean up at 8:30am- wear comfortable shoes, we provide the supplies!

Earth Day Open House and Environmental Fair
Saturday, April (2019 date TBA) 10 am – 2 pm

Family event at Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano. Visit vendor and activity booths, tour the landfill, and learn about recycling, composting, natural habitats, and other hands-on activities. Entertainment • Giveaways – Prizes – Drawings • Interactive Earth Day Booths • No-Host Food Truck • Popcorn & Cotton Candy

Earth Day At The Ecology Center

This special day signifies a time our community comes together for a unique festival that showcases skill sharing, garden activations, local food, music and more. This year, be one of the first to take a tour of our new mobile ecological experience, Road Trip. Activities will include U-Pick Strawberries, Container Gardening demo, Worm Composting demo, kids yoga, plant sales and more!
